Situation: Asking for help at a hospital reception.

 

 

A: Hi, I need to see a doctor. Can you help me?
B: Of course. Do you have an appointment, or is this an emergency?
A: I don’t have an appointment, but I’m feeling unwell.
B: I understand. What symptoms are you experiencing?
A: I have a fever and a bad cough.
B: Alright. Please fill out this form, and we’ll call you when a doctor is available.
A: How long will the wait be?
B: It should be around 30 minutes, but it could be longer if there are urgent cases.
A: That’s fine. Thank you for your help.
B: You’re welcome. Please have a seat, and we’ll call your name soon.
